Storm Damage

What Houston Hail and Wind Do to a Roof — and Why You Can’t See It From the Street

A roof can look fine from the curb and still be letting water into the attic by next season. Storm Bolt gets on the roof, photographs the damage slope by slope, and walks you through the pictures before anyone mentions a price.

1

Wind-lifted and creased shingles

Gusts break the seal and crease shingles that are still nailed down, so nothing looks missing. Slope-by-slope photos show where the pattern starts and where it stops.

2

Hail bruising and granule loss

Close-ups of each impact mark, exposed mat and bare patch, dated and located on the file, so the record holds up when an adjuster reviews it.

3

Leaks, valleys and soft decking

We check the flashings, penetrations, valleys and the decking under them. Anything wet or soft is written into the report, not left for later.

The photo report is yours whether or not you hire us, along with a plain answer: repair it, replace it, or leave it alone for now.

Storm Bolt Roofing is a roofing contractor, not a public insurance adjuster. Coverage and claim decisions stay between you, your insurance carrier, and the insurance professionals qualified to make them.

Storm & Insurance

Insurance-Claim Documentation Without the Overpromising

After a Houston storm, the paperwork matters as much as the repair. Storm Bolt Roofing puts together the photos, measurements, contractor estimate and scope review that give your roof-damage claim solid evidence to stand on.

No jargon, no countdown clock.

Inspections That Explain Themselves

Photos first, then a plain reading of them: is this a repair, a replacement, or a roof that just needs watching for now?

FAQ

Houston Roofing Questions, Answered

How fast can I get a roof inspection?

Usually within 24–48 hours for a free inspection. If water is coming in or a storm just went through, call 832-860-0262 and ask for same-day or emergency response.

Do you help with insurance claims?

Yes — with documentation. We photograph the damage, measure the roof and write a contractor estimate you can hand to your insurer. Storm Bolt Roofing is a roofing contractor, not a public insurance adjuster.

Are you a public adjuster?

No. We are a roofing contractor. We supply the photos, measurements and estimate for your claim; we do not negotiate the claim or represent you with the carrier.

Do you offer emergency tarp service?

Yes. When a storm opens up your roof, we can tarp it to keep water out of the house until the permanent repair or replacement is on the calendar.

How does the 60-second roof estimate work?

A short set of questions about your home and roof, optional photos from your phone, and you see a preliminary price range plus the next step we recommend. The final number comes after an in-person inspection.

Is the online estimate final?

No — it is a starting range. A firm price needs an inspection, measurements, your material choice and an agreed scope.

Do you offer service in Spanish?

Sí, hablamos español. Phone calls, inspections and paperwork are available in Spanish, and there is a Spanish version of our website.

What happens after I submit my information?

A team member reads what you sent, checks that your address is in our service area, and contacts you to set the free inspection. You get a confirmation and know exactly what comes next.
